Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Diotte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diotte comes to the cage accompanied by Cypress Hill - I Want 2 Get High. Washington is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Queen - I Want It All. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Diotte.

It looks like Leonard Washington has been cut.
Diotte throws a push kick but Washington slaps the foot to one side.
Washington tries to counter with a clinch but Diotte shakes him off and moves away.

Diotte lands a left and a right that send Washington crashing to the mat, dazed. Diotte thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Washington is rocked!
Washington ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diotte moves away.
Washington is still on wobbly legs! Can Diotte finish him?
Washington avoids a punch combination nicely.
Washington tries to counter by closing the distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Washington thuds a left hand into Diotte's body.
Diotte misses with a series of wild punches.
Washington seems to have recovered his senses.
Washington lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Diotte at a distance.
Washington is looking to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Diotte is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Diotte manages to break the clinch.
Washington digs a good body shot into Diotte's ribs.
No joy there for Washington, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Washington throws a body punch but Diotte moves out of range.
Washington is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Diotte rather than just go for the knockout.
Diotte takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Diotte lands a big uppercut and Washington crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Washington looks OK. Diotte waves Washington back to his feet!

Washington throws a body shot but no joy.
Diotte avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Diotte wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Washington throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Diotte keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Diotte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Washington was well out of range. Poor timing from Diotte.
Washington wants to clinch up but Diotte keeps it at a distance.

Diotte feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Washington sprawling to the canvas! Washington rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Diotte finish him?!

That has opened up Leonard Washington's cut even more.

and Washington counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Diotte digs a good body shot into Washington's ribs.
Washington stalks Diotte and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Diotte's face. Diotte staggers backwards, shaken.
A combination from Washington does no damage.
Washington throws a leg kick
and Diotte counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Washington out cold! What a finish! Diotte is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andrew Diotte!
Andrew Diotte was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
