PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ellenberger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobias Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wall is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: We Ready- Archie Eversole. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Ellenberger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tobias Wall!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellenberger shoots in looking for a takedown. Wall tries to sprawl out of it but Ellenberger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wall looks to score with a jab to the body but Ellenberger is just out of range.
Ellenberger gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wall counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wall misses with a hook.
Ellenberger appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Ellenberger fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Ellenberger. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ellenberger or perhaps it was just good defense by Wall, which made it look bad.

Ellenberger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wall slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Wall has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ellenberger closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wall did well to prevent Ellenberger getting side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ellenberger's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ellenberger's back!
Ellenberger is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Super SmashBros., so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Wall. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wall connects with a nice short shot to Ellenberger's temple.

Tobias Wall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
