PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Will Tickel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Rockstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockstar has chosen Defend With Violence - Throwdown as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Luke Rockstar told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 12 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Rockstar!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tickel ducks under a wild hook from Rockstar.

Tickel fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rockstar to the ground. Tickel is now in Rockstar's guard.

Tickel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Tickel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rockstar's guard.

Tickel seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Will Tickel will probably get the nod.

Tickel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
