Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mr Roboto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Virgil Dreesen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mr Roboto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Virgil Dreesen!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roboto tries to clinch but Dreesen moves away
and Dreesen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Nice elbow from Dreesen.
Roboto is looking to break free of the clinch but Dreesen has double underhooks.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Dreesen.
Dreesen displaying some good clinch control by pressing Roboto up against the cage.
Dreesen connects with a nasty looking knee right to Roboto's face.
Dreesen lands an elbow that stopped Roboto in his tracks for a moment.
Roboto can't break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roboto looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Roboto takes a shot to the head.
Dreesen creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Roboto's defenses.
Dreesen scores with a shot to the side of Roboto's head.

Dreesen lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


Roboto is rocked!
Roboto is trying to break free.
Roboto tries for a takedown but Dreesen manages to get underhooks.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Dreesen.
Oh Roboto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dreesen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Dreesen crunches a lovely knee into Roboto's ribcage.
Dreesen scores with a shoulder strike.
Roboto is trying to break free.
Roboto is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Roboto seems to have got his legs back now.
Dreesen is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Roboto drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dreesen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Roboto's efforts to push away.

Dreesen lands a right hand.

Roboto tries to pull guard but Dreesen won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mr Roboto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dreesen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Roboto breaks from the clinch.
Roboto lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dreesen circles away quickly and effectively.
Dreesen moves into range and connects with a jab.

Dreesen moves into the clinch successfully.
Dreesen lands an elbow inside.
Still in the clinch, Dreesen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Dreesen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Roboto up against the cage.
Dreesen has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Roboto seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Dreesen can turn it around.
Dreesen misses with a knee strike.

Roboto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dreesen walks away with a smile on his face. Roboto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Roboto fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dreesen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Roboto throws a head kick but Dreesen moves out of range.
Dreesen scores with a nice body kick.
Roboto takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Roboto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dreesen drops Roboto with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Roboto! Dreesen dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Virgil Dreesen!
