The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avila dips to his left and cracks Batyr with an uppercut!
Batyr dodges the punch combination from Avila.
Avila scores with a nice strike.

Batyr moves into the clinch.
We've been informed that Avila has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Batyr lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Avila escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Batyr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Raiymbek Batyr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Avila is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Batyr screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
