Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josef Urrah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milosz Barchandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urrah comes to the ring accompanied by Johnny Cash - Oney. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josef Urrah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Milosz Barchandao!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urrah misses with the combination.
Urrah lands a high kick!
Barchandao shoots in for a double leg but Urrah sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Barchandao missing with a left hand there. Urrah was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Barchandao scores with a hook.
Barchandao looks to score with a jab to the body but Urrah is just out of range.
Barchandao looks to land a right hand but Urrah moved out of range.
Urrah tries a head kick but it misses.
Urrah slips under a jab from Barchandao.
Urrah is looking for a counter combo.
Milosz Barchandao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barchandao looks to land a right hand but Urrah moved out of range.
Barchandao connects with a looping right hand.
Urrah shoots in and drives through. Barchandao sprawls well.

Urrah closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barchandao keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Barchandao is pressing down on Urrah's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Urrah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barchandao swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Urrah postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Urrah throws a strike but Barchandao rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Urrah is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Urrah seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Barchandao trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Urrah manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Urrah throws a big right hand that misses.
Barchandao keeping moving, preventing Urrah from controlling successfully.
Urrah working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Barchandao's head.
Urrah missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Urrah drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Barchandao manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Urrah has Barchandao in his guard.

Urrah wants to sweep here but Barchandao controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Urrah can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Barchandao controls the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Barchandao chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Urrah can pounce on him.

Urrah dives in and scores a takedown into Barchandao's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Urrah gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Barchandao counters with a stiff right hand.
Barchandao misses with an uppercut. Urrah saw that one coming.
Urrah looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Barchandao defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Urrah.
A little jabbing left from Barchandao on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josef Urrah. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A decent looking cross lands there for Barchandao.
Barchandao shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Urrah as he jumps to the side.
Urrah lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Barchandao looks to land a right hand but Urrah moved out of range.

Urrah shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Barchandao napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Barchandao is looking to reverse the position.
Josef Urrah overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Urrah is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barchandao knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Urrah swings around for an armbar but Barchandao sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Urrah's guard.
Barchandao wants to control from the top but Urrah keeps moving.

Barchandao slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Urrah wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Barchandao is now in half guard.

Barchandao thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Urrah is not content to let Barchandao control the position.
Barchandao is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Urrah is looking to control Barchandao's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Urrah avoid being mounted?
Urrah wants to improve his position but Barchandao is controlling well.
Urrah is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Barchandao's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Barchandao's back!

Urrah wants to control but Barchandao is keeping busy.

Urrah working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Barchandao is doing well to defend. Urrah seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Barchandao is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Josef Urrah!
In his post fight interview, Josef Urrah gave a big smile as he said 'Avgå Hamrén!'.
