Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Cavanagh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Floyd Myers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Cavanagh!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Myers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Myers fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Myers wants to clinch up but Cavanagh keeps it at a distance.
Myers tries to clinch but Cavanagh is having none of it.
Myers will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Myers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cavanagh paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cavanagh throws a counter combo.
Myers tries to clinch up but Cavanagh circles away and keeps his distance.
Cavanagh drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Myers defends it well.
Myers fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cavanagh looks to throw a body kick
and Myers counters with a nice uppercut.
Myers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Myers gets caught napping as Cavanagh dives in and scores a takedown. Myers manages to retain guard.
Myers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cavanagh controls the pace.
Cavanagh's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cavanagh trying to stand up but can't free himself from Myers's guard.
Cavanagh passes Myers's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Myers tries to kick Cavanagh off but Cavanagh keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Cavanagh tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Myers wants to get back to full guard.
Nice strikes from Cavanagh there.
Myers looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cavanagh keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Myers tries to kick Cavanagh off but Cavanagh keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Cavanagh manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Myers on his heels. He'll look to pass Myers's guard now, I'm sure.
Myers wants to get back to his feet but Cavanagh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cavanagh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Myers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cavanagh chips away with some ground and pound.
Myers is looking to stand up but Cavanagh isn't so interested in that idea.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cavanagh stays in close to Myers's body and controls the position.
Myers trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Cavanagh has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Myers is proving hard to escape from.
Myers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Cavanagh gets caught flat footed, as Myers shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Myers has gone for a leg lock! Cavanagh slips out almost immediately though and dives into Myers's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cavanagh makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Cavanagh sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Cavanagh wants to get up but he can't break Myers's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Cavanagh prevents Myers from getting back to his feet.
Cavanagh postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cavanagh stands and throws Myers's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cavanagh scores with a couple of short elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Cavanagh dominated that round.
That's time! Myers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Myers misses with a head kick.
Cavanagh gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Myers counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Myers tries to clinch up.

Cavanagh moves into the clinch successfully.
Myers tries to pull guard but Cavanagh won't allow it.
Cavanagh has had enough of the clinch but Myers keeps him there for the moment.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Cavanagh. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Cavanagh creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Cavanagh is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Cavanagh has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Myers avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Myers jumps guard.
Myers wants to stand up but Cavanagh is controlling him.
Myers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cavanagh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Cavanagh advances position into side control!

Cavanagh thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

A lull in the action here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Myers can't do much from the bottom here.
Myers tries to escape but Cavanagh is in control.
Myers is not content to let Cavanagh control the position.
Myers wants to get back to his feet.
Cavanagh trying to control the action but Myers is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cavanagh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cavanagh keeps the fight on the outside.
Myers fails to land the takedown.
A low kick from Cavanagh is predictable there
and Myers counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Myers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Floyd Myers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Cavanagh.
Myers fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cavanagh swats away the attempt to clinch by Myers.
A nice side step and Cavanagh releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Cavanagh steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Myers.
Cavanagh has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Myers avoids the body shot from Cavanagh.
Myers throws a quick counter head kick but Cavanagh was just out of range.
Myers wants to clinch.
Cavanagh is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Myers is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cavanagh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Myers tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cavanagh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Myers shoots in but no luck this time.

Cavanagh gets the takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Cavanagh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Myers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Cavanagh has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Myers finds it's way round the side to connect with Cavanagh's head.
Myers closes the distance looking to clinch

and Cavanagh counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.


Myers is rocked!
Cavanagh seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Oh Myers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Let's hope that Cavanagh has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Cavanagh stands up from Myers's guard - Cavanagh perhaps looking for a knockout.

Cavanagh dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Myers has had enough and taps out.
