Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohamed Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and GP Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). GP Andrews has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mohamed Mullen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, GP Andrews!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mullen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Andrews sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Andrews throws a sloppy head kick and Mullen moves out of range easily.
Andrews ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mullen moves away.
Mullen tries to counter by clinching up but Andrews breaks away and moves out of range.
Mullen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Andrews tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mullen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Andrews wants to clinch
and Mullen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mullen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Andrews has momentary wrist control but Mullen slips an elbow through the middle.
Andrews wants to stand and escape but Mullen is having none of it.
Andrews really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mullen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Andrews might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mullen haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Andrews can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mullen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mullen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Andrews has taken the fight to the clinch.

Andrews escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mullen jabs Andrews to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Mullen closes the distance and clinches up with Andrews, looking for a takedown. Mullen pushes Andrews against the cage but Andrews circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mullen has his foot on Andrews's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Andrews works his way back into a safe position though.

GP Andrews comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Andrews has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, GP Andrews started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
