Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Mcguire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Camacho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aaron Mcguire has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aaron Mcguire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jorge Camacho!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcguire tries to clinch but Camacho moves out of range.
Jorge Camacho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mcguire keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mcguire moves out of range of the body kick from Camacho.
Mcguire throws a nice inside leg kick.

Camacho drives through and clinches with Mcguire against the cage.
Mcguire fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Camacho is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mcguire is defending well.

Camacho decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mcguire takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
Mcguire knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Camacho on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcguire would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Camacho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mcguire trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Camacho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcguire doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcguire manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Camacho is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Camacho tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcguire holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Camacho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcguire does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mcguire is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Camacho in particular looking to stall.

Camacho is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mcguire doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Camacho.
Camacho wants to pass the guard but Mcguire is defending well.

Well, if Camacho is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Camacho tries to stand and escape but Mcguire is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Camacho instigates a clinch.
Mcguire gets underhooks to prevent Camacho's takedown attempt.

Mcguire is trying to drag Camacho to the mat but Camacho just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Mcguire breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Camacho tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mcguire breaks from the clinch.
Camacho fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Mcguire is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Camacho.
Camacho pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mcguire has Camacho up against the cage in a clinch.

Mcguire's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mcguire doesn't manage to clinch there - Camacho circles away.
And Camacho tries to counter it with a takedown but Mcguire pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Mcguire tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Camacho is defended easily by Mcguire.
Camacho throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcguire's waist but Mcguire gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Camacho off to one side.
Camacho takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Camacho shoots in and bounces Mcguire off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mcguire tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcguire really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mcguire pulls Camacho in close to his closed guard and prevents Camacho from doing any damage or advancing position.
Camacho has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Mcguire is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Camacho defends well.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mcguire not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Camacho gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mcguire tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Camacho just stands there and leans against the cage.
Camacho tries to score a body lock takedown but Mcguire shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Aaron Mcguire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Camacho.

Camacho manages to break the clinch.
Camacho shoots in looking for a takedown but Mcguire manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Camacho's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mcguire wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Camacho shoots in but no luck this time.
Camacho is breathing heavily.

Camacho has Mcguire pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Camacho pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mcguire tumbling to the mat - Camacho dives into Mcguire's guard.
Mcguire has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Camacho misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mcguire tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Camacho manages to circle out of the way.

Mcguire is looking to control Camacho's arms but Camacho gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mcguire has his back to the cage.

Mcguire breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Camacho throws a wild body kick that Mcguire sees coming a mile off.
Mcguire tries to counter by clinching up but Camacho breaks away and moves out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Camacho or perhaps it was just good defense by Mcguire, which made it look bad.
Mcguire is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Camacho.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Camacho closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jorge Camacho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Mcguire has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Camacho is pulling down on Mcguire's head. It's preventing any offense from Mcguire, at least for the moment.

Camacho shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcguire tries to sprawl out of it but Camacho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcguire manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Camacho takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Camacho fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
As Camacho tries to get set, Mcguire tries to push him back and clinch up but Camacho manages to avoid the attempt.

Mcguire rushes Camacho and presses him up against the cage.

A nice leg kick lands there from Mcguire.

Camacho fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mcguire checks it well.

Camacho walks forward, straight into a front kick from Mcguire.

Camacho shoots in and drives through. Mcguire sprawls well.

Camacho drives through and clinches with Mcguire against the cage.
Camacho is trying to force a seperation but Mcguire has the dominant position.
Mcguire wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Camacho prevents Mcguire from breaking the clinch.
Camacho keeps control of Mcguire as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Mcguire jumps guard but Camacho stands there with Mcguire around his waist. Mcguire gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mcguire lands a right hand.
Camacho is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mcguire is defending well.

Mcguire manages to break the clinch.
A head kick misses from Mcguire.
Mcguire lands with a thumping leg kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Aaron Mcguire has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jorge Camacho is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Mcguire misses with a short punch on the inside.
