Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Jarvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shyne Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Can't be as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jarvis's guard.
Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jones wants to sweep here but Jarvis controlling him for the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Jarvis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Jarvis looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jarvis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jarvis throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.
Jarvis keeps the fight on the outside.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jarvis is not content to let Jones control the position.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jones is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Jarvis has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jones is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jarvis.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jones is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jarvis has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jarvis!

Jones wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jarvis is now in half guard.

Raphael Jarvis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Shyne Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
