Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brutaali Pekka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kay Ector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ector is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Monster!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pekka avoids the head kick by Ector.
It looked like Pekka wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ector. That's going to slow Pekka down.
Pekka takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've been hearing reports that Pekka has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Ector clobbers Pekka with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ector takes a jab right on the kisser.
A combination from Ector does no damage.
Ector throws a left and a right that both miss

and Pekka counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are battling for position here. Ector manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pekka sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ector's guard.
Ector wants to control but Pekka is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Ector moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Pekka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ector swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pekka's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Ector is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ector tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Pekka slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Pekka looking for a guillotine here but Ector defends easily.

Pekka is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Pekka keeping moving, preventing Ector from controlling successfully.
Ector trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pekka's guard.
Ector must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pekka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pekka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ector not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pekka smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Ector thows a leg kick but Pekka checks it

Pekka throws an overhand right that lands on Ector's shoulder, as Ector tries to avoid the shot.
Ector ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pekka moves away.
Pekka throws a leg kick which misses Ector's front leg but catches the back leg as Ector tries to avoid it.
Ector tries to close the distance and clinch but Pekka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pekka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ector throws a shot from downtown. Pekka moves away and avoids it.
Pekka lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ector takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nice shot lands for Pekka.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brutaali Pekka dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Pekka shoots in looking for a takedown. Ector tries to sprawl out of it but Pekka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ector manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ector keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Pekka is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ector can do to turn this around?
Ector tries to clinch but Pekka is having none of it.

Ector drops Pekka with a beautiful combination! Pekka stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ector is looking for the KO!

Pekka is rocked!

It looks like Brutaali Pekka has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pekka misses with an uppercut.
Oh Pekka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pekka get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Pekka stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Ector runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
