Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fyodor Pending (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz fails with the takedown

and Pending counters with a shoot takedown. Cruz fights it but they end up in guard.
Cruz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pending looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Pending got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cruz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pending has managed to get both his arms back between Cruz's legs - danger averted.
Pending wants to pass the guard but Cruz is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cruz is trying to control the position but Pending postures up.

Pending drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pending jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pending trying to control the position from guard on top but Cruz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cruz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pending doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pending manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pending drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cruz dives on top into guard.

Cruz is sitting in close to Pending's body. Pending has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cruz is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cruz is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pending.
