The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gleiser rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.
Gleiser throws an elbow but it misses.
Gleiser tries to throw a body punch but Jones avoids it by throwing Gleiser back against the cage.

Our sources have told us that Gleiser has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Gleiser blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Gleiser blocking some punches.
Jones misses with a hook to the ribs.
Jones avoids a wild elbow strike from Gleiser.
Jones cracks Gleiser with a nice body shot.
Jones blocks an elbow strike.
Gleiser creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jones's defenses.

It looks like Jack Jones has been cut.
Gleiser stalling against the cage.
Gleiser is looking to control Jones's arms but Jones gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gleiser has his back to the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gleiser lands an elbow just above Jones 's eye.
Jones lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Jones stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
A short body shot lands from Jones as the two fighters clinch.
Gleiser can't find room to land a body shot as Jones controls the action.

Jones breaks from the clinch.

Jones looks to land a body kick but Gleiser moved away.
Gleiser shoots in but no luck this time.
Gleiser tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gleiser fails with the takedown
and Jones counters with a two punch combo.
Gleiser is breathing heavily.
Gleiser fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Jones counters with a left to the body.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Jones.
A punch lands to the side of Gleiser 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Michael Gleiser has been cut.
Gleiser shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jones counters with a nice right hand that sends Gleiser toppling to the canvas! Gleiser scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Jones finish him?!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Gleiser. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones is looking to slow Gleiser down with leg kicks.

Jones lands an uppercut, right on the button! Gleiser tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
