Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Fu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Sotaheimo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fu comes to the cage accompanied by SDJ-COMMANDOS. Thomas Fu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thomas Fu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ari Sotaheimo!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Fu. Sotaheimo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fu moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSotaheimo.
Sotaheimo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fu takes one to the chin there.


It looks like Thomas Fu has been cut.
Fu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sotaheimo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

It seemed like Sotaheimo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sotaheimo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fu has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fu and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sotaheimo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sotaheimo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fu needs to keep his hands up - Sotaheimo had a free shot at his head there.
Donk. Fu catches Sotaheimo right on the button with a cross.
Fu throws a head kick but Sotaheimo moves out of range.
Sotaheimo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


Fu is rocked!


Thomas Fu's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Sotaheimo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Oh Fu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sotaheimo fakes the body blow, causing Fu to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Fu goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

After winning the bout, Ari Sotaheimo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
