Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pluto Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palhares comes to the cage accompanied by TOQUINHO. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colon throws a front kick aimed at Palhares's knee but Palhares avoids it well.
Colon ducks under a wild hook from Palhares.
Colon swings for the body but Palhares moves out of range.
Palhares thinks about countering with a body kick.

Colon clinches up with Palhares and pushes him back against the cage.
Colon lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Still in the clinch, Colon scores with a nice short uppercut.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Palhares lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Colon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Colon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Palhares takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Palhares throws a hook but Colon avoids it easily.
Colon tries to counter with a clinch but Palhares shakes him off and moves away.
Palhares seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Palhares is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Colon rolls with it to try and escape but Palhares cranks on the arm and Colon is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
