Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janno Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gibbs has chosen Apocalypse Please as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Janno Gibbs was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gibbs lands a nice shot that snaps Knight's head back.
Knight fails to land with a series of punches.
Gibbs throws out a counter right but Knight avoids it with no problem.

Gibbs has managed to clinch.
Knight is trying to force a seperation but Gibbs has the dominant position.
Knight blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Knight wants to break free but Gibbs has control.
Gibbs throws a punch but it's blocked by Knight.

Gibbs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gibbs fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gibbs throws a hook but Knight avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gibbs.
Gibbs digs a good body shot into Knight's ribs.
Knight lands a jab.
Gibbs uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knight.

Gibbs throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Knight on the side of the head.
Knight rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gibbs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Knight connects with the punch.
Knight lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gibbs at a distance.
Gibbs thows a left - swing and a miss!
Knight falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gibbs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gibbs lunges at Knight with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Knight's hand.
Gibbs takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Gibbs walks into a stiff left hand from Knight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gibbs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gibbs misses with a hook from the clinch.
Gibbs misses with a punch on the inside.

Gibbs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gibbs is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Knight.
Both fighters circling a little - Gibbs finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Knight works Gibbs's body with a nice hook.
Knight's corner calls for a 1-2. Knight obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Knight throws a series of punches but Gibbs moves out of range.

Sloppy strikes from Knight. Those never looked like landing.

Knight lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gibbs backs up against the cage.
Gibbs has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Gibbs rushes Knight and presses him up against the cage.

Gibbs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Knight lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Knight.

Knight connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Gibbs covering up! Knight comes in with a big uppercut and Gibbs goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
