Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Latka Gravas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter comes to the cage accompanied by Cyprus Hill - Hits From the Bong. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Latka Gravas!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A slow jab from Hunter misses its intended target.

Hunter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gravas is trying to defend but Hunter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Hunter is controlling the pace.
Gravas gets full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hunter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gravas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hunter has managed to get both his arms back between Gravas's legs - danger averted.

Hunter throws a solid leg kick but Gravas takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hunter.
It seemed like Gravas was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Hunter closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gravas's guard.

Gravas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hunter controls the pace.
Gravas has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hunter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Gravas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hunter.
A bone on bone clash there as Gravas blocks the leg kick.
Gravas steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Hunter.

Hunter lands with an uppercut that bounces Gravas off the cage and back into range.
Hunter does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hunter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gravas is refusing to be controlled, as Hunter sits in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jay Hunter showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hunter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
