Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Punka Tuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dalton Pease (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Punka Tuka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dalton Pease!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pease tries for a takedown but Tuka sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tuka checks a leg kick.
An inside leg kick from Pease misses.
Tuka doesn't manage to clinch there - Pease circles away.
Pease tries to clinch but Tuka moves out of range.
Tuka feinted with a counter takedown.

Tuka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pease, pushing him back against the cage.
Tuka stops a takedown attempt from Pease.
Tuka's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Tuka tries to pull guard but Pease won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pease has Tuka pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pease pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Tuka tumbling to the mat - Pease dives into Tuka's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pease prevents Tuka from getting back to his feet.

Pease drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tuka looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tuka looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tuka!

Pease manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Tuka is defending against the submission attempts here by Pease.
Pease wants to take a breather but Tuka is having none of it.
Pease prevents Tuka from standing back up.
Pease throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Tuka to regain full guard.
Tuka utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Pease throws a strike but Tuka rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


The fighters are working up against the cage. Pease manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Tuka definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Pease wants a takedown but no success here.
Punka Tuka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dalton Pease.
Pease is trying to pull guard but Tuka turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Pease's coach down at The House of Savage was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pease's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Pease tightens his grip and picks Tuka up, before dumping him to the ground. Tuka manages to land in guard.

Tuka is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Tuka wants to stand and escape but Pease is having none of it.

Pease gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Pease throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tuka's waist but Tuka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pease off to one side.
Tuka tries to clinch but Pease moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tuka tries to counter with a takedown but Pease is quick to defend against it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pease throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tuka tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pease is in Tuka's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pease stays in close to Tuka's body and controls the position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Pease tries to close the distance and clinch but Tuka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tuka dives in for a single leg takedown but Pease sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Punka Tuka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pease looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tuka is fending him off so far but Pease persists. Nope, Tuka circles away and we're back to standing.

Pease shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pease showed some decent athleticism there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tuka is staying active underneath Pease, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Pease is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Pease wants to work for an arm triangle but Tuka is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pease is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Tuka really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dalton Pease showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

After winning the bout, Dalton Pease thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Punka Tuka was interviewed post fight and said 'i just need to train hard and hopefully i can win my next match'.
