Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doc Shearer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Zavurov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shearer comes to the ring accompanied by Big Sean. Zavurov has chosen Empire Of The Sun – Alive as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zavurov throws an off balance right hand
and Shearer counters with a two punch combo.

Shearer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Zavurov.
Shearer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Shearer definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Zavurov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Zavurov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Let's hope that Zavurov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Shearer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zavurov.
It looked like Shearer was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Zavurov.

Shearer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Zavurov looks to land a combination but Shearer avoids it well.

Shamil Zavurov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Zavurov counters by moving into the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Zavurov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Zavurov wants the takedown. Shearer is fighting it off but Zavurov persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Shearer 's guard against the ropes.
Zavurov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
