The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leopoldo falls off balance throwing a combination

Leopoldo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shebanov feints a jab promting Leopoldo to slip. Shebanov then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Leopoldo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Shebanov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Shebanov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Leopoldo.

Leopoldo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Leopoldo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Shebanov lands with a hook. Leopoldo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Shebanov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Leopoldo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shebanov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The ground and pound from Leopoldo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Leopoldo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Shebanov has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Leopoldo but great work by Shebanov.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Leopoldo checks a leg kick.
Shebanov looks to land a left hand but Leopoldo moved out of range nicely.

Shebanov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Shebanov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shebanov sends Leopoldo crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shebanov is motioning to the referee to let Leopoldo up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

The cut above Pedro Aristides Leopoldo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Shebanov connects with a superb combination that knocks Leopoldo out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Shebanov before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Leopoldo!
