Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Sambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trev Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fedor Sambo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fedor Sambo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trev Allen!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen rushes Sambo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Allen being controlled against the cage.
Allen effectively controlling the action here.
Sambo wants to stall.
Allen working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Allen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Allen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sambo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Sambo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Allen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sambo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Allen told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allen wants to sweep here but Sambo controlling him for the moment.
Allen keeps trying to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Allen working for a triangle but Sambo defends it easily.
Allen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sambo manages to get himself to full guard.

Sambo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sambo tries to get out of the position.
Allen postures up.
Allen lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Allen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sambo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Allen sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Sambo can't keep his opponent in guard - Allen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Allen trying to control from half guard but Sambo is working away.
Allen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Allen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Allen wants to pass the guard but Sambo is defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Well, if Allen is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sambo taking some punishment here, with Allen in his half guard.
Sambo is trying to get back to full guard.
Allen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sambo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Allen in his tracks.
Allen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sambo finds it's way round the side to connect with Allen's head.
Allen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Allen tries to clinch but Sambo is having none of it.
Allen looks to clinch
and Sambo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Allen.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Allen is looking to clinch but Sambo is avoiding it.
Allen wants to clinch up but Sambo keeps it at a distance.

Allen looks to clinch
and Sambo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Trev Allen will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sambo lands with a cross.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Allen.
Sambo Rushes Allen and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Allen is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Sambo Piles on the pressure and Allen crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fedor Sambo!
