Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dave Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suzuki Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Suzuki Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lesnar as he avoids it easily.

Lesnar instigates a clinch.
Lesnar's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Lesnar effectively controlling the action here.
Hunter prevents Lesnar from breaking the clinch.
Lesnar is pressed up against the cage. Hunter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lesnar down to the mat. Lesnar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hunter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hunter moves in looking to clinch but Lesnar pushes him off.

Hunter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hunter is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lesnar is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hunter to the mat. Hunter regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Lesnar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lesnar.

Lesnar gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lesnar darts in and clinches Hunter up against the cage.
Hunter tries to pull guard but Lesnar forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Lesnar - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lesnar lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Hunter hold on?!
Lesnar cracks Hunter with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Hunter from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Lesnar has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hunter's body.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Lesnar. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Lesnar really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Hunter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Suzuki Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Nice takedown defense from Lesnar. No joy for Hunter on that attempt.

I would not like to be Hunter right now.
Lesnar lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Hunter.
Lesnar scores with punches to the body.
Hunter is trying to get back to his feet but Lesnar has full control of the position and if anything, Hunter has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Lesnar is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hunter defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
You can see the frustration on Hunter's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Suzuki Lesnar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lesnar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
