Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sterling Wright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicholas Walter!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wright looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wright in particular looking to stall.
Walter tries to roll over but Wright keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walter throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Wright knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walter on the ground.
Walter wants to control but Wright is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Walter wants to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Walter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Walter wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Wright manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wright.
Despite the aggression on Walter's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Walter throws a nice looking combination but Wright bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Wright fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Walter, pushing him back against the cage.
Wright looking to throw knees to the head but Walter is blocking nicely.

Wright has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Walter clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Walter trying to control the position but Wright manages to sink in the hooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walter rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Wright performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Walter looking for submissions off his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Walter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wright's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wright's back!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Walter. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Walter is looking to control Wright but Wright is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Wright trying to control the action but Walter just sinks the hooks in.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Walter tightening his grip on Wright, looking for the choke.

Walter looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Wright taps!
