The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Afanasiev misses with a hook
and Deverux connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Deverux throws a looping overhand right but Afanasiev ducks down to avoid it.
Afanasiev looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A swing and a miss from Deverux.
Afanasiev tries a quick counter leg kick but Deverux is wise to it.
Afanasiev fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Deverux tries to move into range but Afanasiev moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Afanasiev rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Deverux moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Deverux throws an overhand right that lands on Afanasiev's shoulder, as Afanasiev tries to avoid the shot.
Nice shot lands for Deverux.
Deverux connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Deverux misses with an uppercut. Afanasiev saw that one coming.
Afanasiev tries a head kick but it misses.
Afanasiev takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Afanasiev throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Deverux feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Afanasievs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Deverux dodges the punch combination from Afanasiev.
Deverux throws a right and a left that Afanasiev avoids nicely.
Deverux connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Afanasiev's hands.
Afanasiev jabs Deverux right on the nose. Deverux blinks but takes it well.
