Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ruthless Ragnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ragnar.
Guy throws out a counter right but Ragnar avoids it with no problem.
Ragnar cracks Guy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ragnar throws a low kick but Guy moves out of range easily.

Ragnar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ragnar lands in his opponent's guard.

Ragnar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ragnar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ragnar buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ragnar ducks right into an uppercut from Guy.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ragnar. That's going to slow Guy down.
Ragnar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Guy momentarily.
Ragnar shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Guy felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Ragnar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Guy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ragnar works to advance to full mount. Guy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Guy tries to improve his position but Ragnar has taken his back! Ragnar has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Guy tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Ragnar pushes Guy away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
