Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geoffrey Parrish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Grainger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leonard Grainger !
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parrish tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Grainger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Grainger darts in and clinches Parrish up against the cage.
Parrish really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Grainger on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Parrish tries to close the distance and clinch but Grainger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grainger misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Parrish is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Grainger has managed to free his arm - good work.

Grainger is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Parrish pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grainger has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Parrish is on him like a limpet, forcing Grainger back against the cage.

Parrish wants to stand but Grainger has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Grainger pushes Parrish off and scrambles back to his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Grainger .

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Parrish postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Parrish loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Grainger wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Parrish is now in half guard.
Parrish has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Grainger wants to control but Parrish is keeping busy.

Parrish is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Parrish is looking to regain half guard here but Grainger keeps moving and retains side control.
Grainger has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Grainger throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Parrish because Grainger loaded up on that one.
Parrish holds on for dear life, controlling Grainger 's posture momentarily.
Leonard Grainger has got the better of the ground game so far.
Parrish sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Grainger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Parrish pushes Grainger off looking to stand but Grainger dives back in and keeps control.

Parrish makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Parrish.
Grainger slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Parrish will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Parrish is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Grainger won't allow Parrish to get back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Grainger lands a jab to the nose.

Parrish moves into the clinch successfully.

Grainger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Grainger has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Parrish tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grainger paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Leonard Grainger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Parrish enables Grainger to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Parrish manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Parrish has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Grainger has passed into side control.
Grainger wants to control but Parrish is keeping him busy.

Parrish is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Grainger is just riding it out for now. Parrish eventually gives up the hold.

Parrish cracks Grainger with a solid left hand.

Grainger wants to stand up but Parrish is controlling him.

Parrish stands up over Grainger , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Parrish throws a big elbow that misses.

Grainger has an active guard here but Parrish has managed to pass into half guard.
Grainger is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Parrish's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Parrish's back!

Grainger somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Grainger looking to break Parrish's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Parrish remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Grainger will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Grainger doesn't have the hooks in and Parrish manages to turn into his guard.

Leonard Grainger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Grainger has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
