Popper comes to the cage accompanied by Runnin with the Devil. Sato has chosen Kodo Drums as his entrance music. Takahiro Sato is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popper looks to land a left hand but Sato moved out of range nicely.
Popper looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Popper looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sato throws a head kick that misses

and Popper moves into the clinch.
Sato is trying to drag Popper to the mat but Popper just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Popper blocking some punches.
Sato tries to pull guard but Popper holds him up against the cage and eventually Sato drops back down to his feet.
A right hook to the body lands for Popper.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bung Popper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takahiro Sato.

Popper manages to break the clinch.
Sato slips under a jab from Popper.
Sato unleashes a big counter combination but Popper bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Nice uppercut lands for Popper. That snapped Sato's head back.

It looks like Takahiro Sato has been cut.

No luck for Sato with that takedown attempt.
Sato avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sato shoots in but no luck this time.
Popper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sato changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Popper tries to avoid it but Sato manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Popper to the ground. Popper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sato throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Popper attempts a counter takedown but Sato avoids it well and moves away.
Popper throws the left hand but Sato avoids the punch easily.

Popper lands a big right hand that sends Sato crashing to the mat! Popper stays standing though and waves Sato back to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sato wants to counter the offense by Popper and move into the clinch position.

Popper drops Sato with a huge uppercut! Sato drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Popper is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Bung Popper seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Takahiro Sato spoke after the fight, saying 'I apologize to my family and fans for letting you down this evening. But like a true warrior I look at this loss as a way to get better and drive forwards..... to victory!'.
