Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Fryer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barton Fink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frankie Fryer could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Barton Fink's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Barton Fink!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fryer takes a jab right on the kisser.

Fink controls the position for a moment.

Fryer has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the fighters up against the cage, Fryer throws an elbow but misses.

Fryer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fink uses from the top position.

Fryer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fryer there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fryer drops his hands momentarily and Fink takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Fryer throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fryer postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Fink is not content to let Fryer control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Frankie Fryer will probably get the nod.

Fryer has closed the distance and engaged Fink in a clinch.

A bit of stalling here from Fink.

Fryer works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Fryer wants to control from the top but Fink keeps moving.

Frankie Fryer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fryer looking to sit in guard and control but Fink gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fryer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fink manages to get himself to full guard.


Fryer stands up and waves to Fink to follow him.

Fryer closes the distance and clinches.

Fink's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Fink stalls.
Fink continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Fryer stalling in the clinch but Fink improves position.

Fryer decides to pull guard.
Fink pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fryer is keeping the position for now.
Fink is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Fryer controls Fink momentarily but Fink frees himself.

Fryer is wriggling around but Fink manages to pass to half guard.
Fryer is looking for a sweep. Fink is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fink passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fryer!
Fink controlling the pace for now.

Fryer is trying desperately to improve position.
Fryer looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
I would not like to be Fryer right now.
Fryer just trying to survive but Fink is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Fink working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Barton Fink will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Fink scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Fryer moves into the clinch successfully.
Fryer tries to stall but Fink uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Fink lands a shot to the body.
Fink leaning his opponent against the cage.
Fryer tries to land knees in the clinch but Fink avoids the damage to the body.

Fink escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fink connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fryer's hands.

Fryer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fink did well to prevent Fryer getting side control.

Fink has one foot on Fryer's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Fryer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Fink manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Fryer keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Fink is stalling here.

Fink breaks from the clinch.
A lazy left from Fink finds it's target.
Fink moves out of range of the body kick from Fryer.
Fink connects with a looping right hand.
Fink clobbers Fryer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Barton Fink is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fryer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fink manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fryer trying to control but Fink is working from the bottom.

Fink manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Fink breaks from the clinch.
Fryer tries a head kick but it misses.

Fryer gets a double leg takedown into Fink's guard.
Fink bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fryer's guard.

Fryer is striking from the bottom but Fink uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Fink slows the pace down in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Let's hope that Fink has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Fink seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Fryer is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Barton Fink!
Barton Fink took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I mean isn't life beautiful? I'm pretty sure that even if he's knocked out he might be having some sweet dreams!'.
