Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jens Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rikkard Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jens Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rikkard Hanson!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hanson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hanson swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.

Hanson shoots in and gets a takedown into Jackson's guard.
Hanson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Jackson has control of Hanson's left arm, preventing Hanson from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson looking to control but Hanson passes into half guard.
Hanson trying to pass the guard but Jackson defending well.

Hanson wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.
Hanson is thwarting Jackson's attempts to control the position.
Hanson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hanson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jackson was covering up waiting for the punch and Hanson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jackson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jackson wants to stand but Hanson is controlling the position.
Jackson is looking to sweep but instead, Hanson has passed into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hanson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jackson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
What's Jackson going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Hanson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jackson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Jackson wants to control but Hanson postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hanson looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Hanson tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hanson scores with a decent looking hook.
Hanson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Hanson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hanson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jackson moves forwards but Hanson connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Hanson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hanson tries to bench press Jackson off him but Jackson keeps the position.
Jackson has control of an arm but Hanson manages to advance to Jackson's back!
Hanson has good solid back control here.

Jackson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Jackson manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Hanson not doing much here.
Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jackson wants to control but Hanson is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hanson is trying to control. Jackson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Jackson is defending against the submission attempts here by Hanson.

Hanson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rikkard Hanson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Jackson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Rikkard Hanson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hanson slaps away a takedown attempt from Jackson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hanson has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up.
Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Hanson is retaining full guard.

Hanson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jackson defends well.

Hanson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hanson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hanson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hanson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Hanson is keeping the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Hanson sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hanson enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hanson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Hanson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jackson has his hands clasped together but Hanson extends and breaks Jackson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hanson.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rikkard Hanson!
After the fight, Rikkard Hanson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
