The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaffney keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
It seemed like Gaffney was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Gaffney closes the distance and clinches up with Moo, looking for a takedown. Gaffney pushes Moo against the cage but Moo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Moo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gaffney is working away from the top position though.
My spies in Sydney Fight Team inform me that Gaffney has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Moo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gaffney is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Moo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gaffney is just riding it out for now. Moo eventually gives up the hold.

Well Gaffney has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
