Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jaromir Jag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jaromir Jag has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jaromir Jag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tank S!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jag gets caught flat footed, as S shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jag looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
S with a nice head shot there.
S looking to pass the guard.
S content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.


Jag is rocked!
S pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jag is keeping the position for now.
Oh Jag is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
S slips nicely into half guard.
Jag seems to have got his legs back now.
Well, if S is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

S is working for a kimura but Jag is defending it quite comfortably.
S is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's one minute gone in the round.

S postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jag to stand up.

S moves into range and clinches up with Jag.

S pulls guard successfully.
Jag will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

S looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
S lands with a heel strike from the guard.

S is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
S trying to land knees to the body.
Jag drops down looking for an ankle pick but S pulls his leg out and moves away.
S fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jag looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jag gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so S counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jag is looking for a triangle but S pushes his legs off easily.
Jag being controlled here, momentarily.

Jag working for a triangle but S defends it easily.
Jag is trying to control the position but S postures up.

Jag is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jag is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jag is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

S pulls Jag into guard.

Jag stands and steps away. S gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jag with a lazy takedown attempt

and S counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaromir Jag. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jag can't keep his opponent in guard - S advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
S seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Jag is trying to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

S decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

S drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.Jag looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
S lands a couple of decent looking shots.
S passes into half guard.

S is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jag defends it well.
S passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jag!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

S looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tank S dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


S misses with a wild combination.
S swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jag fails with the takedown

and S counters with a shoot takedown. Jag fights it but they end up in guard.

S gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

S gets a takedown into half guard.
Jag wants to control but S is keeping busy.
S controlling the pace.
Jag is trying to control but can't.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
S controlling the action here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jag is trying to maintain the position but S is very close to passing his half guard.

S is looking for a kimura here.
Jag is in trouble now - S has advanced to mount!
Jag keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

S has control of Jag's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jag regains control of the situation pretty easily.
S sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

S quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for S but it's paid off an Jag is forced to tap! Nice work by S.
