The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackiewicz connects with a jab.
Gyan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gyan showed some decent athleticism there.

Jackiewicz is looking to get back to full guard here but Gyan has managed to pass to side control instead.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gyan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jackiewicz napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Gyan remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Jackiewicz parries the strikes from Gyan easily there. Gyan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jackiewicz to escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee asks Gyan politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Gyan prefers to stall for the moment though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Let's hope that Gyan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gyan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Gyan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackiewicz tries to avoid it but Gyan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackiewicz to the ground. Jackiewicz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

so Gyan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Jackiewicz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gyan connects with a decent elbow.

Gyan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Janu Malkriado Gyan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Gyan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
