Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shoto Murasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murasaki's entrance music is PRIDE FC Theme. A fine choice. Shoto Murasaki has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shoto Murasaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dennis Marques!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marques darts in looking for a takedown but Murasaki gets double underhooks and turns Marques into the cage.
Murasaki tries to close the distance and clinch but Marques swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Murasaki swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Marques.
Murasaki connects with a body shot that sends Marques's belly button to the back.
Murasaki dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Marques. That did some damage!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Marques is defended easily by Murasaki.
Marques shoots for a takedown but Murasaki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Shoto Murasaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Marques.
Marques dives in and grabs Murasaki's left leg, looking for a takedown. Murasaki pushes down on Marques's head and hops out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marques chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Murasaki can pounce on him.
Marques shoots and misses

and Murasaki holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Marques tries to pull guard but Murasaki won't allow it.

Murasaki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marques darts in looking for a takedown but Murasaki gets double underhooks and turns Marques into the cage.
Murasaki is looking to counter punch.
Crunch! Murasaki slams his shin into Marques's torso.
Marques looks winded!
Marques shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Murasaki as he jumps to the side.
Murasaki lands with a thumping leg kick.
Marques gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Murasaki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Dennis Marques has been cut.

Murasaki has Marques up against the cage in a clinch.

Murasaki manages to break the clinch.
Murasaki closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Marques takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Marques shoots for a takedown but Murasaki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Murasaki drops Marques with a big left hand! Marques is injured, injured bad! Murasaki jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
