Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Smith!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks throws the kick towards the body but Smith avoids it.
Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brooks defends it nicely.
Smith bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Brooks slips a jab from Smith.
Brooks fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Smith to the ground. Brooks is now in Smith's guard.
Brooks wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.
Brooks sitting in guard here, content to control.
Smith is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brooks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brooks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brooks tries to free his leg and advance position but Smith is retaining full guard.
Smith is looking to cinch up a triangle. Brooks throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Smith's body to avoid the submission. Smith has instead reached around Brooks's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Smith arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
