Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Domenic Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davey Linster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Domenic Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davey Linster!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Linster shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Linster was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rogers is trying to control Linster's posture but Linster avoids it.
Rogers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Linster's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Rogers is trying to improve his position.
The referee asks Linster politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Linster prefers to stall for the moment though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogers struggling a bit here.
Rogers is looking to reverse the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Rogers tries to keep at a distance but Linster has taken the fight into the clinch.
Linster has had enough of the clinch but Rogers keeps him there for the moment.
Rogers wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rogers is trying to force a seperation but Linster has the dominant position.
Rogers misses with the head strike.
Linster avoids the elbow strike from Rogers, against the cage.
Rogers stalling in the clinch.
Rogers is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Linster has hold of one of Rogers's legs. Rogers is fighting the takedown attempt but Linster gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogers is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Linster is looking to work some ground and pound but Rogers has wrist control.
Linster throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Linster sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rogers's guard.

Linster not doing much here.
Linster not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rogers is trying to control but can't.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Linster shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rogers flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Linster is taking a breather. Rogers says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Rogers is breathing heavily.
Linster not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Linster content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davey Linster dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Linster changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rogers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Linster wants to control but Rogers is keeping him busy.
Rogers tries to improve position but can't.
Rogers being controlled for a moment.

Rogers tries to control but Linster manages to take his back.

Linster patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Linster misses with punches from the back.
Rogers is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Linster.
Rogers trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Linster is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Rogers defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Linster is trying to stick to Rogers's back but Rogers is turning into Linster. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Linster's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rogers.
Davey Linster has got the better of the ground game so far.

Rogers stands up from Linster's guard - Rogers perhaps looking for a knockout.
Rogers has a takedown stuffed.
Davey Linster is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Linster closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rogers to the mat! Rogers manages to get full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rogers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Linster passes Rogers's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Linster performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Linster thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Well, if Linster is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Linster works his way into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davey Linster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Linster throws a head kick that misses.
Rogers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Linster uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rogers.
Linster grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Rogers takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Linster cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Davey Linster!
After winning the bout, Davey Linster thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
