Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roger Cantor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshimo Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Roger Cantor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hiroshimo Sakamoto!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cantor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sakamoto forces Cantor back against the cage and clinches.
Sakamoto misses with a hook to the ribs.
Cantor wants a takedown but no success here.
Sakamoto digs a right hand into Cantor's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cantor's gas tank.
Cantor tries to land knees in the clinch but Sakamoto avoids the damage to the body.
Sakamoto scores with a shot to the side of Cantor's head.

Sakamoto digs a right hand into Cantor's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cantor's gas tank.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Cantor is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Sakamoto throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cantor.
Cantor attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Sakamoto paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
An inside leg kick lands from Sakamoto.
Cantor takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sakamoto's coach down at Masaru Fighting Systems II was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sakamoto's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Cantor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've been told by Cantor's head coaches at Hilo Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Cantor throws a hook but Sakamoto blocks it.
Cantor sets himself, and Sakamoto steps forward looking for the clinch! Cantor avoids it this time.
Roger Cantor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cantor chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sakamoto can pounce on him.
Cantor tries to bum rush Sakamoto with a series of wild strikes but Sakamoto uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sakamoto throws out a counter right but Cantor avoids it with no problem.
Sakamoto throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Sakamoto connects with a body shot that sends Cantor's belly button to the back.
Cantor is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cantor throws a head kick but Sakamoto moves out of range.
Sakamoto slips under a jab from Cantor.
Cantor takes a jab right on the kisser.
Sakamoto buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sakamoto throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sakamoto darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Cantor missing with a left hand there. Sakamoto was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sakamoto lands a leg kick that knocks Cantor off balance momentarily.
Sakamoto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cantor.
Sakamoto scores with a kick to the body.
Sakamoto connects with an inside leg kick.
Sakamoto avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sakamoto just misses with a punch to the body.
Cantor scores with a jab to the jaw.
Cantor takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Good shot there by Sakamoto.
Cantor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cantor shoots in looking for a takedown but Sakamoto manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cantor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Cantor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sakamoto keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hiroshimo Sakamoto dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sakamoto has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sakamoto creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Cantor is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Sakamoto throws a good cross that connects.


Cantor is rocked!

Sakamoto lands a big uppercut and Cantor crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cantor looks OK. Sakamoto waves Cantor back to his feet!
Oh Cantor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cantor shoots in looking for a takedown but Sakamoto manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cantor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cantor throws a right hand that Sakamoto ducks under and follows up with a left that Sakamoto also avoids with ease.
Sakamoto cracks Cantor with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hiroshimo Sakamoto!
Hiroshimo Sakamoto seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
