Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vahan Karamyenyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karamyenyan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Saw Theme - Bonecrusher ft. Lil Jon. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Vahan Karamyenyan!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua fails with an attempt to clinch.
Karamyenyan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rua is out of range.
Karamyenyan misses with a head kick.
Karamyenyan lands a leg kick that knocks Rua off balance momentarily.
Rua ducks under a wild hook from Karamyenyan.
Rua blocks a leg kick.
Karamyenyan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rua at a distance.

Rua rushes Karamyenyan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rua throws an elbow but it misses.
Rua blocks an elbow strike.
Rua looking for a takedown.

Rua breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've been informed that Karamyenyan has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Karamyenyan looks to land a body kick but Rua moved away.
Karamyenyan thuds his shin into the meat of Rua's side.
Rua fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rua throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rua looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rua tries to clinch but Karamyenyan moves out of range.

Rua closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Karamyenyan to the mat! Karamyenyan manages to get full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Karamyenyan is looking to cinch up a triangle. Rua throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Karamyenyan's body to avoid the submission. Karamyenyan has instead reached around Rua's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Karamyenyan arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Vahan Karamyenyan!
A very excited looking Vahan Karamyenyan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
