PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clam Chowder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Twos Twos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chowder has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Jimmy Twos Twos told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twos thuds his right hand into Chowder's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Chowder postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Twos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chowder, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chowder wants to sweep here but Twos controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Twos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Chowder really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Twos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Twos cracks Chowder with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The crowd cheers as Twos lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chowder doesn't seem phased though.

Chowder looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Chowder with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Twos to score with a decent uppercut.
Jimmy Twos Twos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chowder takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Twos pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Chowder back to the cage. Twos follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
