PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Star Dust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaquim Antunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dust comes to the cage accompanied by Die for Metal. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Dust!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Joaquim Antunes!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dust throws an overhand right that lands on Antunes's shoulder, as Antunes tries to avoid the shot.
Antunes tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Dust is looking for a sweep.

Antunes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dust keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Antunes winds up and cracks Dust with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That was a close round but I would say that Star Dust will probably get the nod.

Dust is looking to control Antunes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dust avoid being mounted?
Dust is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Antunes has hold of Dust's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dust manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Antunes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dust's face.

Dust takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Antunes's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
