The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Bishop. That's going to slow Jokes down.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jokes or perhaps it was just good defense by Bishop, which made it look bad.
Bishop fakes the leg kick and cracks Jokes in the body.
Jokes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bishop lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jokes's sensitive parts.
Bishop fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jokes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Jokes has closed the distance and engaged Bishop in a clinch.

Bishop has hold of one of Jokes's legs. Jokes is fighting the takedown attempt but Bishop gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bishop seems to be working for a kimura but Jokes defends the submission attempt.

Bishop maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Jokes could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bishop has cracked it and Jokes is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bishop!

Benny Bishop spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
The defeated Alex Jokes had this to say: 'Nah, it wasn't supposed to go down like this, I'm so annoyed at myself for messing up. It won't happen again. '.
