Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krejzi Kure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hansen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, AC/DC - Big Gun. Kure has chosen BIG SHUG - who's hard as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Krejzi Kure!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen shoots in for a double leg but Kure sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kure with a jab.
Kure walks into a jab.


It looks like Krejzi Kure has been cut.
Hansen lands a glancing blow to the side of Kure's head.
Kure tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hansen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hansen attempts a counter takedown but Kure avoids it well and moves away.
Kure cracks Hansen with an open hand slap.
Kure tries to move into range but Hansen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kure throws a body punch but Hansen moves out of range.
Kure throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kure lands with an overhand left.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kure has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hansen blocks an uppercut.

Hansen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kure closes the distance and clinches.
Hansen lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
A short right from Kure on the inside.
Hansen blocking some punches.
Kure misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hansen controlling the action here for a moment.
Hansen tries to circle away but Kure has him pinned against the cage.
Hansen throws a head punch that misses.
Hansen working hard to break the clinch.
Kure throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Hansen working aggressively here.
Kure will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hansen up against the cage.
Hansen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A knee to the head by Hansen.
Hansen is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kure is keeping busy.
Hansen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kures head.
Kure's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Hansen is trying to break the clinch but Kure has him pressed against the cage.

Hansen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kure throws a right hand that Hansen ducks under and follows up with a left that Hansen also avoids with ease.
Hansen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kure just misses with a punch to the body.
Hansen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kure throws a body kick that misses.

Kure throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hansen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kure is in Hansen's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hansen looking for a sweep. Not yet Hansen, not yet.
Kure is looking to work some ground and pound but Hansen has wrist control.
Kure postures up.
Hansen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Hansen throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kure is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kure's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hansen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kure working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hansen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kure lands a couple of elbows.
Kure told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Kure with a nice head shot there.
Hansen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kure is one step ahead there.

Hansen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kure is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hansen.
Hansen is trying to control Kure's posture but Kure avoids it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Krejzi Kure dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Krejzi Kure's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Hansen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kure.
Hansen appears to be looking for a big counter.
Kure keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hansen.
Kure darts in trying to clinch
and Kure takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tim Hansen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kure swings widly with a right hand
and Hansen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hansen moves away from the strike by Kure.
Kure shoots and misses
and Hansen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


Kure is rocked!
Hansen cracks Kure with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kure tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Hansen pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kure is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Hansen!
