Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jospeh Osborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chet Steelbeef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steelbeef has chosen Mitch Murder - Interceptor as his entrance music. Chet Steelbeef has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jospeh Osborn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chet Steelbeef!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steelbeef fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Osborn sprawls well initially but Steelbeef persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Osborn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Osborn works his way to full guard. Good work.
Steelbeef controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steelbeef trying to control the position from guard on top but Osborn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steelbeef slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Steelbeef wants to control from the top but Osborn keeps moving.

Osborn pulls Steelbeef in to control the position.
Steelbeef trying to control but Osborn is working from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Chet Steelbeef seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Osborn tries to land a front kick but Steelbeef steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Osborn manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Steelbeef on his heels. He'll look to pass Steelbeef's guard now, I'm sure.
Osborn in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Osborn wants to get up but he can't break Steelbeef's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Osborn with a flurry of punches that miss.
Osborn lands a couple of digs.

Steelbeef pulls Osborn in close to prevent any damage.
Steelbeef avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Steelbeef is pulling down on Osborn's head. It's preventing any offense from Osborn, at least for the moment.
Steelbeef wants to stand up but Osborn is controlling him.
Osborn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Osborn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Steelbeef works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Steelbeef is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Osborn is trying to get back to full guard.
Steelbeef tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Steelbeef wants to pass the guard but Osborn is defending well.

Steelbeef seems to be looking for submissions.
Steelbeef is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Steelbeef takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Steelbeef looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Steelbeef tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Osborn.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Osborn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Osborn shoots in and bounces Steelbeef off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Steelbeef manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Osborn manages to get himself to full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chet Steelbeef will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Steelbeef misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Osborn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steelbeef swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Osborn tries for a takedown but Steelbeef sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck for Steelbeef with that takedown attempt.
Steelbeef is looking to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Steelbeef is defended easily by Osborn.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steelbeef works the jab nicely.

Osborn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Steelbeef.
Jospeh Osborn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chet Steelbeef.
Steelbeef looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Osborn is fending him off so far but Steelbeef persists. Nope, Osborn circles away and we're back to standing.

Osborn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Steelbeef manages to get himself to full guard.

Osborn has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Steelbeef is proving hard to escape from.
Osborn wants to stand and escape but instead Steelbeef has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Osborn controls Steelbeef momentarily but Steelbeef frees himself.

Steelbeef is looking to stand up but Osborn won't let him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Steelbeef looking to sit in guard and control but Osborn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Steelbeef looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Steelbeef is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Osborn is controlling him.
Osborn being controlled here momentarily.
Osborn won't allow Steelbeef to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Osborn rushes Steelbeef and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Chet Steelbeef will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Steelbeef shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Osborn sprawls well. Osborn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steelbeef gets slowly back to his feet.
Osborn tries to land a front kick but Steelbeef steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Steelbeef trying to control the position but Osborn is working away.

Steelbeef decides to stand back up. Steelbeef steps back and let's Osborn get back to his feet.
Steelbeef shoots in looking for a takedown. Osborn tries to sprawl out of it but Steelbeef keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Osborn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Osborn drops down looking for a counter takedown but Steelbeef sprawls and moves away.

Osborn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Osborn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The ground and pound from Osborn seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Steelbeef is looking to regain half guard here but Osborn keeps moving and retains side control.
Steelbeef is still trying to improve position.
Steelbeef takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Osborn connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Steelbeef some visible discomfort.
Steelbeef can't do much from the bottom here.

Osborn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Steelbeef has escaped the position, nice work there.

Osborn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Steelbeef parries the strikes from Osborn easily there. Osborn is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Steelbeef to escape.
Steelbeef struggling a bit here.
Osborn is trying to ground and pound but Steelbeef uses the momentary lack of control by Osborn to regain half guard.

Osborn seems to be looking for submissions.

Steelbeef is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Osborn pulls his head out easily.

Osborn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Steelbeef is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Osborn scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Osborn is going to stand back up.
Steelbeef keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Steelbeef wants to control but Osborn is keeping busy.

Chet Steelbeef is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Osborn moves out of range of the body kick from Steelbeef.
