And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Rengard!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacobs throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rengard tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jacobs is in Rengard's guard.
Jacobs won't allow Rengard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs trying to control but Rengard is working from the bottom.
Jacobs is really struggling to control Rengard but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Rengard is trying to control the position but Jacobs postures up.

Rengard felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jacobs closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rengard's guard.

Jacobs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rengard keeps working.

Rengard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jacobs is working away from the top position though.
Rengard is in trouble now - Jacobs has advanced to mount!

Jacobs seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Jacobs has managed to slip his arm under Rengard's chin. This could be all over... yep, Rengard is tapping out! Submission win for Jacobs.
