Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between George Ciz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor Davis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Davis stuns Ciz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ciz fails with a takedown attempt.
A punch lands to the side of Ciz 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Davis throws a series of punches but Ciz moves out of range.
Ciz changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Ciz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Davis lands a jab-cross combination.
Davis scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ciz appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Davis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ciz circles away quickly and effectively.
Davis slips a jab and a cross from Ciz.

and Ciz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Ciz thows a huge punch but Davis dodges it nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ciz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Davis's head.
Ciz wants to free his trapped foot but Davis is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Ciz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Davis sees it coming and defends easily.

Ciz is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davis is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ciz scores with a couple of nice shots.
Davis is staying active underneath Ciz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ciz is working for a kimura but Davis is defending it quite comfortably.
Ciz stops Davis from getting back to his feet.
Ciz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Ciz is working for a submission of some sort.

Ciz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ciz seems to be looking for submissions.
Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ciz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ciz wants to take a breather but Davis is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ciz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Ciz has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Davis defend it? Ciz steps over the head and cranks it - Davis is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ciz!
