Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Lefevre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Lefevre could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ryan Rage's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Lefevre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Rage!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lefevre instigates a clinch.

Rage jumps into guard, dragging Lefevre to the mat.
Rage is trying to keep Lefevre in close.

Lefevre trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rage's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rage not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Lefevre is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Rage shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lefevre napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Lefevre is breathing heavily.

Rage stands up.

Rage gets a double leg takedown into Lefevre's guard.
Rage postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Rage passes Lefevre's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Rage has managed to clinch.
Rage wants to get back to striking at distance but Lefevre won't allow it.
Lefevre tries a knee to the head but Rage blocks it.

Rage ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rage no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Rage escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lefevre gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rage is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lefevre wants to get up but he can't break Rage's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lefevre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
