PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Henry Chinaski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee has chosen Dragonfly by Shaman's Harvest as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Henry Chinaski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 45 - 23 - 4, fighting out of New York, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chinaski slips a jab from Lee.
Lee looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Chinaski pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lee scores with the left hand. Chinaski knows he should have avoided that one.
Chinaski gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Chinaski tests Lee's chin there with a solid looking shot.


It looks like Bruce Lee has been cut.
Lee cracks the inside of Chinaski's front leg.
Lee checks a low kick from Chinaski.
Lee drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A head kick misses from Chinaski.
Chinaski takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Chinaski has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chinaski there as he acknowledges the shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chinaski throws out the jab.
Lee lands with a kick to the temple. Chinaski shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Lee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chinaski.
Lee moves into range and connects with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Chinaski. Those never looked like landing.
Chinaski thows a leg kick but Lee checks it
and Lee counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Lee misses with a wild body shot.
Chinaski throws an overhand right that lands on Lee's shoulder, as Lee tries to avoid the shot.
Chinaski swings for the body but Lee moves out of range.
Henry Chinaski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee takes a swing at Chinaski's ribcage but misses.
Chinaski lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chinaski.
Lee misses with a leg kick.
Chinaski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chinaski looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lee throws a right hand that misses
and Chinaski counters with a thumping low kick.
Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice straight punches there by Chinaski. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Chinaski.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chinaski throws a body shot but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chinaski throws a good cross that connects.
Chinaski connects with an inside leg kick.
Chinaski misses with a body kick.
Chinaski connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


Lee is rocked!


That has opened up Bruce Lee's cut even more.
Chinaski throws a monster overhand right that drops Lee! Chinaski follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Henry Chinaski!
A very excited looking Henry Chinaski made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Bruce Lee had this to say: 'Well... Aint that a bitch..'.
