And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Fisher.
Zoidberg throws a body punch but Fisher moves out of range.
Fisher misses with a double jab
enabling Zoidberg to counter with a crisp jab.
A nice inside leg kick there by Zoidberg. That's going to slow Fisher down.
Fisher throws the kick towards the body but Zoidberg avoids it.
A low kick from Zoidberg misses
and Fisher counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Zoidberg throws a lazy head kick
and Fisher counters with a nice body kick.
Zoidberg looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zoidberg. Fisher does a little dance to reset his feet.
A head kick misses from Fisher.
Fisher takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Zoidberg connects with a leg kick. Fisher looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fisher swings for the body but Zoidberg moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Zoidberg.
Zoidberg dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fisher misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zoidberg.
Fisher throws a lazy uppercut
and Zoidberg counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A slow jab from Zoidberg misses its intended target.

Zoidberg connects with a looping right hand.


It looks like John Fisher has been cut.
Zoidberg ducks under a wild hook from Fisher.
Fisher misses with a leg kick
and Fisher takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fisher misses with an uppercut. Zoidberg saw that one coming.

Zoidberg drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Zoidberg postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Zoidberg keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fisher's head.
Zoidberg stops Fisher from standing up.
Zoidberg stopping the sweep attempt from Fisher.
Zoidberg throws a big right hand that misses.
Zoidberg throws an elbow that misses. Fisher uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Zoidberg's guard. Nice move by Fisher!


Zoidberg pushes a forearm under Fisher's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Fisher is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dr John Zoidberg!
After winning the bout, Dr John Zoidberg thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
