Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Krukowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karol Cropp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Krukowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karol Cropp!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krukowski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cropp has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Krukowski makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kevin Krukowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Kevin Krukowski has been cut.
Krukowski just misses with a punch to the body.
Cropp is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Krukowski pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

And Cropp tries to counter it with a takedown but Krukowski pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Crunch! Krukowski slams his shin into Cropp's torso.
Krukowski throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Cropp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Krukowski.
Cropp changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Krukowski throws out a loose jab but Cropp uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cropp feints the counter takedown.
Krukowski just misses with a punch to the body.
Krukowski has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ELITE University of Hard Knocks in the buildup to the fight.

Cropp closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Krukowski quickly recovers to half guard.
Krukowski is not content to let Cropp control the position.

Cropp is looking for a kimura here.

Cropp wants to work for an arm triangle but Krukowski is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Krukowski misses with a few strikes there.
Krukowski throws a good cross that connects.
Cropp takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Krukowski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Krukowski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cropp's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Krukowski will probably get the nod.

Cropp tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Krukowski defends well and Cropp ends up having to push Krukowski into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Cropp moves forwards but Krukowski connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Krukowski comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Krukowski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Krukowski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee asks Krukowski politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Krukowski prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cropp has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Krukowski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Krukowski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cropp swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Krukowski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cropp has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Krukowski has managed to get both his arms back between Cropp's legs - danger averted.
