PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Fleming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pulla Sorsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fleming comes to the cage accompanied by T.N.T.. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pulla Sorsa!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorsa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fleming counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've been hearing reports that Fleming has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Sorsa takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Fleming clobbers Sorsa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fleming looks to land a combination. Sorsa sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Fleming just misses with a punch to the body.
Sorsa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fleming moves away.
Sorsa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sorsa enables Fleming to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sorsa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That was a close round but I would say that Scott Fleming will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sorsa scores with a decent looking hook.
Fleming closes the distance and clinches up with Sorsa, looking for a takedown. Fleming pushes Sorsa against the cage but Sorsa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A good leg kick by Sorsa.
Fleming ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sorsa moves away.
Fleming uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sorsa.

Fleming throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sorsa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fleming's guard.

Sorsa stands and throws Fleming's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Sorsa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fleming, who protects the arm well.

Sorsa is trying to stick to Fleming's back but Fleming is turning into Sorsa. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sorsa's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fleming.

Fleming throws an elbow that misses. Sorsa uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fleming's guard. Nice move by Sorsa!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Fleming shoots in looking for a takedown but Sorsa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fleming's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fleming lands a nice hook to Sorsa's body. Sorsa takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Sorsa feints and then cracks Fleming's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fleming down.
Oh Fleming is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fleming walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Sorsa swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
