The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maverick swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McGuiness throws a shot from downtown. Maverick moves away and avoids it.
As McGuiness backs away, Maverick returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
McGuiness misses with a straight right.

Maverick swings for the body but McGuiness moves out of range.
McGuiness avoids the body shot from Maverick.

McGuiness lands with a hook. Maverick tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Maverick is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Cas Maverick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maverick fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McGuiness manages to avoid it.
